A wedding is a celebration that everyone should look forward to. And with so much planning that goes into your wedding, you will want it to be perfect. Including how you look.
It's not surprising that people will go to great lengths to alter their appearance for their wedding. After all, a wedding signifies the beginning of a new chapter in your life. So why not begin this time looking and feeling your best. Unfortunately, it's sad to say that many people rely on quick fixes that are not sustainable (or healthy) to drop the weight fast. While extreme measures might help you drop a few pounds quickly, but they are not lifestyle choices that can be carried out indefinitely.
Hopefully you have plenty of time to reach your personal goals prior to your wedding. The longer you have to modify your life by implementing the following tips, the more likely you will be to continue following these after when the honeymoon is over. So here are 3 simple tips to help you look your best for your special day.
Be honest with what you eat. If you were to take a poll and ask people about what they eat and how many calories they are consuming each day, you would most likely get answers that are more fiction than fact. The reason is that too often we do not pay close attention to what we are eating. An easy solution to this problem is to write down what you eat by creating a food journal. Your food journal does not have to very detail to be extremely effective. Simply use a piece of paper and a pen and write down what you eat for the day and approximately how much you consumed. If it goes in your mouth, it goes in your journal. If you would like to get more detailed with food journal there are several apps for your phone that can be used to track your food. My fitness pal is the one that I personally use.
Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Often times people mistake hunger for thirst. And as a result, they consume unnecessary calories when a glass of water would satisfy their cravings. Not only will drinking more water help you eat less food, but it can also help you flush excess toxins out of your body. Recent studies have also shown that drinking water can also help you burn more calories. To make sure you are drinking plenty of water, carry a water bottle with you throughout the day. Also try having a glass of water before each meal. This will help fill up your stomach can help you fight off the urge to get a second helping at dinner time.
Schedule your exercise. Too often people have good intentions to exercise, but never make the time to do it. A simple solution to this problem is to make an appointment to exercise each day. If your work schedule is fairly consistent, plan out your week in advance and pencil in about an hour a day for exercise. Maybe, it's walking with your friends. If you already have a gym membership, take advantage of it. And if you are a person who feels they don't have time to get out the house to work out because they are too busy, there are plenty of fantastic workout videos available that you can complete at home and still get in your exercise.
